I've used gay.com for years and have had a lot of success, both casual hookups and longer-term boyfriends and even a few friends out of the deal. Typically the best results have been secondary relationships to men who had primary partners already.

A step down from gay.com (if that's even possible lol) is craigslist, at least on the M4M side. I've heard the W4W side of things is much more civilized. I do keep an eye on craigslist for MW4M ads and other interesting possibilities that aren't captured in the monosexual and monogamous worlds of most dating sites.

Heck, I've even had a few dates off of tribe.net!

For a while I tried adultfriendfinder and its queer correlate outpersonals, meh... not so much.

Lately okcupid.com is the thing IMHO. The matching service does a lot of the legwork for you, yielding more results with less time and energy. Has a high concentration of queer poly folk, probably because the other mainstream dating sites have become more and more hostile to bisexual and poly folk IME. Ah the days of Yahoo Adult Personals... Anyways, to make okcupid really work it does require an initial time investment to answer about 500 short questions. Totally free in terms of money though!

I've also been using bisexual.com lately. It's definitely a populist site - kind of a cross between gay.com and tribe.net lol. And it's hosted in Canada! Just had a nice date with a really cute boy I met on there this past weekend! :)
